Today was the first day of school for us high school students. The morning was filled with excitement and a bit of nervousness. We all gathered in the school auditorium for the opening ceremony, where we were introduced to our new teachers and the layout of the school.
First period was English class. Our teacher, Mr. Smith, was very friendly and made us feel at ease right away. He gave us an overview of the course and explained the grading system. I am looking forward to learning more about English literature and improving my writing skills.
